d.eris at Polizeros comments on an article in the Guardian, which concludes that our federal government is in collusion with both mega-banks and drug cartels.
The war on drugs supported by the Democratic and Republican parties sustains the international drug cartels. These international drug gangs sustain the global banking system. The global banking cartels, in turn, support the Democratic and Republican parties with massive amounts of campaign contributions. It’s a pretty tidy system the Republicans and Democrats have created for themselves.
Given the facts as we know them, it’s hard to argue otherwise.
Polizeros highlights a report that confirms what many of us have long suspected: the majority of the guns being used by the cartels do not originate in U.S. gun stores. Rather, they are U.S. military grade weapons funneled legally and illegally to the cartels.
Cables released by Wikileaks confirm that the Obama administration knew this – even as it was subtly suggesting that U.S. gun stores were the culprits and letting AP and other outlets run with that misinformation.

Iron County, Utah reports that tens of thousands of pot plants have been destroyed so far this year at a half dozen sites within the County’s borders. Iron County Sheriff Gower said,
“Evidence collected would lead us to believe that they are all drug trafficking organizations – organized crime.”
Polizeros has chronicled the rise of violence in Mexico and its spillover into the border states of Arizona and Texas. It should be clear now that the cartels have already moved into mainstream America. How long before they start to try to protect their investments with more than camouflage?
“The agent told the rock throwers to stop and back off, but they continued. The agent fired his weapon several times, hitting one who later died, said the FBI, which is leading the investigation because it involved an assault on a federal officer.”
The video shows 4 people running from the U.S. side underneath a railroad bridge linking the two nations. A U.S. border agent then emerges on his bicycle and manages to detain one of the individuals, who he then drags along the concrete. The agent then lifts his arm, holding what appears to be a firearm, and points it toward the Mexico side in the direction of one of the other suspects. A few moments later, 2 shots are heard being fired toward the Mexican side. A third shot is heard later in the video.
Fox News quoted the victim’s family as saying that the victim had gone with friends to play by the river, and had no intention of crossing. It also reports that a spent .40 caliber shell was found near the victim, on the Mexican side of the border, suggesting the the Border Patrol agent crossed into Mexico and shot the victim at close range.
Fox also quotes T. J. Bonner, president of the union representing Border Patrol agents, as saying that the throwing of rocks “justifies the use of deadly force.” Surely the Israeli military agrees. But we in the U.S. claim to have a greater respect for human rights.
An asymptote is a curve that approaches a line but never gets there. In the same way, life is a journey in which continual
progress is possible, but never perfection: in spirituality, environmentalism, and the quest for peace. These are reflections on the journey, as well as comments and photos from my home in rural
Southern Utah. Guest posts appear occasionally.
