The New Hot Investment?

The SKS is a semi-automatic rifle in 7.62 x 39 mm. It's the same ammunition as the AK-47, but the SKS was never an automatic weapon. It is reputedly more accurate than the AK, comes with a folding bayonet and grenade launcher (neither of which is useful except in combat), and is also less compact and much heavier to carry than the AK. Nevertheless, it is considered an assault rifle.
Here's the interesting part: prices on the SKS have jumped over ten percent since the Democrats got elected, from $179 to $199. Fears of a weapons ban have created a boon for the wholesalers of such weapons— and demand has been steady. If prices keep going up, assault-type weapons could be the hot investment for the latter half of the "zeros."
